Directors
The two people you'll
actually work with.
No account managers, no handover to a delivery team you've never met. The directors who scope the work are the ones who stay with it — one from the commercial side of the table, one from the engineering side.

Andy Haffenden
Where the operational problem meets the technology that solves it.
Andy Haffenden is a technology-focused entrepreneur and director with extensive experience spanning software development, artificial intelligence, telematics, maritime technology, aviation and luxury asset services.
His involvement in technology began with early user-interface design and the development of practical digital systems for operational environments. He later gained experience in telematic tracking and remote asset monitoring through his work with marine tracking technologies, including MarineTrack and Stratum Five. This provided an early understanding of how live location data, communications, vessel information and operational intelligence could be brought together through intuitive digital platforms.
As a Director of Bright Wave Technologies, Andy now leads commercial strategy and helps clients translate complex operational challenges into practical, scalable technology solutions. His focus includes artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, data integration, telematic tracking and custom software designed to improve efficiency, reduce administration and give businesses greater visibility and control.
Andy combines technology strategy with first-hand operational experience. Having founded and directed companies across several highly regulated and service-intensive industries, he understands that successful technology must do more than demonstrate innovation — it must solve genuine business problems, integrate with existing workflows and deliver measurable commercial value.
Solutions he shapes
Through Bright Wave, Andy works closely with clients and development teams on:
His combined experience in technology, marine operations, aviation and business development gives him a distinctive ability to connect operational requirements with technical delivery. This ensures that Bright Wave's solutions remain commercially focused, intuitive to use and capable of supporting long-term growth.
Andy's role is centered on identifying opportunities, defining the appropriate technology strategy and maintaining a clear connection between the client's objectives, the user experience and the final product.

Louis Bacon
The half of the conversation that has to build it afterwards.
Louis Bacon is a software engineer and director with more than twenty years spent building and running production systems — the portals a branch network logs into every morning, the platforms a fleet is managed from, and the quiet, load-bearing software that has to be right while someone is standing at a desk waiting for it.
As a Director of Bright Wave Technologies, Louis leads engineering and delivery. He owns the architecture, the technical standards and the question of what a system will actually cost to run and maintain once the launch is over. Where Andy defines the commercial shape of a project, Louis is accountable for the thing that gets shipped and for the support load that follows it.
His work now centres on applying AI and agentic automation to operational processes without giving up the guarantees those processes depend on: deterministic where the numbers matter, a person in control of anything that moves money, and an audit trail for every decision the software makes on your behalf. That discipline comes from having built and operated the systems being automated, rather than arriving at them from the outside.
Louis works directly with clients throughout a build — scoping, architecture, hands-on development and the honest conversation about what is worth doing at all. He takes the view that most technology fails commercially long before it fails technically, and that the job is to keep both from happening.
